After the Opening
Why insight and integration move at different speeds.

An experience and a capacity
A profound experience may reveal something meaningful without immediately changing the nervous system’s learned responses. Understanding and capacity are related, but they do not always develop at the same pace.
The work afterward
Integration may look less like preserving a peak state and more like noticing what happens on an ordinary Tuesday: in conflict, in disappointment, in intimacy, or in the moments when old protection returns.
A gentler measure
Perhaps the question is not whether we can hold on to an experience, but whether we can slowly make room for more of ourselves. Integration can be patient, relational, and deeply ordinary.
